Tony's Totally unofficial and not very extensive FAQ:

Would you be willing to sell me your Combat/Chase the Chuckwagon/Asteroids/whatever?

Nope, sorry I don't do that. I'm not in this for the money. (If that were the case, I can think of better hobbies to get rich off of). On the other hand I *DO* trade! Since I'm not in this for money or material gain, just the fun- any reasonable offer wont be turned away. Just look at what I have and my trade lists, and we'll see if we cant strike a deal.

Where do I find Ataris units, Games, and Controls?

The easiest way I found is- used stores! Goodwill, Value Village, Starvation Army all usually have one or two games I don't have when I make my rounds. Finding nothing but combat? Don't give up, sometimes the big score is just around the corner. It's happened to me, it'll happen to you someday.

Another way is are auctions off newsgroups and off Auction Web. Shopping from your home- what a concept! Be prepared to pay a bit more for the privilege, though. The average game runs from .25 to a dollar at a used store, but from 2-3 to 60+ on the net. Also, using net resources, surf Atari homepages. Often people will have lists for sale or trade. Check out the link pages for some good URL's.

A third way is browsing through 70's and 80's retro shops. I know in the Seattle area there are 3 or 4 that I can think of off the top of my head. If your in a big city, odds are you'll have 'em too.

And then finally- there ARE stores and companies that still have new 2600 games. Radio Shack for a while had a selection of about 15-20 that you could mail order. Also, O'Shey clearance has a boatload of games for .80 each! Then there's Telesys, but these guys are WAY expensive.

What sort of power does an Atari take?

To have a fully functioning Atari, you'll need a power supply with these specs:

Input: 120VAC 60Hz
Output: 9VDC 500mA
Polarity: Center +, Outer -

Radio Shack should be able to supply you with the right cord for under 10 bucks. Be careful- the wrong voltage can bake your Atari like a clam at a beach party! Don't plug in anything that you don't know the specs on!
