Truly a comic genius, Trace made us all laugh for seven years with his portrayal of Dr. Forrester and Crow T. Robot, his comedic timing and excellent voice talents could make the most lame joke hilarious or the most mundane observation seem the wittiest comment. Go ahead, I dare you to try and find someone who can give the line "Why must they scream like that?" (Zombie Nightmare) roll around on the floor hilarity.

Put this talent together with some of the best writers the world will ever know and you have Mystery Science Theater 3000!

Trace decided to leave the cast of MST 3K at the end of the 7th Season because he felt it was time to move on to other things. Last I heard he was working on a movie (more on that when I find out about it), I have written a few letters to him and he's always been nice enough to write back. I hope he gets the exposure necessary for people to realize how great a talent this man actually is and reward him accordingly.

For an excellent example of raw unscripted Trace-wit, buy a copy (or several) of the MST Poopie tape (available from the MST 3K Catalogue) where you can watch Trace improvise as his puppet bursts into flames, as well as ad-libbing and reacting to all sorts of shenanigans and goings on.
