Politics politics politics!

I usually shy away from discussions about politics, I'm not very cool headed when it comes to debating and I get very frustrated when people repeatedly ignore the points I make because they either don't understand them or because they know if they accept these points they've lost the argument.

Here I will attempt to make my case as clearly as possible, and there is plenty room for debate, if you find something you don't agree with jump right into the conversation. This is a place for a civil, intelligent exchange, not flamewars. There can be only one objective reality to any given situation (Unless you're talking quantum physics :) ), and I'm a reasonable crustacean, if you're actually right I'm big enough to admit that, hopefully so are you. If not, please don't boil me!!

Lets talk!

Campaign Contributions should be illegal in my opinion. Those companies are not donating millions of $$$ because they really like a particular candidate and feel s/he would do well by the community if elected.

Business Sense is very lacking in Washington, sure those politicians are savvy when it comes to negotiating deals for themselves, but when it comes to negotiating for their country they forget how to do simple math.

Abortion really shouldn't be an issue. Until a baby is an independant biological creature it is not yet an individual and technically just another part of the mother. The mother then has the right to dispose of that part of her at her discretion, anyone who thinks otherwise should realize that is their religious opinion and not everyone shares it.

Justice is scarce in the American justice system. From frivolous lawsuits to career criminals it's time to rework the whole justice system. I've got some suggestions!

Homosexuality is a big issue, the media seems to be presenting it in the light that on one hand there are the harmless homosexuals, born different and trying to live their lives and on the other side those evil bible thumpers giving them constant grief. Well, somewhere in the middle sits the truth.
