A Mad Scientist who plans on ruling the world by finding a movie so incredibly bad, it would break people's will and he would then rule the world! He used to work for Gizmonics Institute, but got demoted when he initially shot Joel up into space, he then moved into a secret sub-basement of Gizmonics (Deep 13) where he continues to conduct his experiments

Despite his inherent evilness, Clayton is a very likable character for many reasons, he likes what he does and has fun doing it! Even if it's killing Frank, sending Joel a horrible movie or grafting the butt of a cat onto the butt of a dog, he's enjoying it all the way, and you can't help but to chuckle along with him as he invariably screws up yet keeps getting back up, dusting himself off and keeps going at it. He has an endearing child-like quality to his madness.

Clayton was the one running the experiment from the very beginning, ever since the very concept of the show started, up until the last episode of Season 7 where his funding is cut, he cuts off the lifeline to the Satellite of Love, then experiences a 2001: A Space Odyssey type rebirth. There ends the life of Dr. Clayton Forrester on Comedy Central.

In MST 3K's rebirth on the Sci-Fi Channel we learn that Pearl Forrester, his mother, planned to raise him properly the second time around, but failed and he ended up the exact same way... as she was smothering him to death, he asked her to make sure his experiment continued.
