Giant Gila Monster

Theater Rating:

Host Segment Rating:

Indoctrinationability: Poor

Episode: This is one of the poorer episodes. There are some hilarious bits but the movie was very slow and cheesy, the riffing was few and far between, although granted there was nothing much to riff. I consider this episode more of a filler show to keep the Season at 22 Episodes. Still, the Gila Monster voice Joel and the bots do make it worth a watch. It's still 1,000 times better than Baywatch.

Movie: This was a very lame movie, however there is something laudable about it, the main character seemed very intelligent, he just projected a very well balanced, spry personality. If the plot and or dialogue of the movie were one half as intelligent as this guy seemed to be... well... something.

Intro: Joel has spliced Crow's head to Tom's body, they don't like it at all and start arguing with each other.

Tom: Joel, I really hate this nightmare doublemint ad idea

Invention Exchange: Dr. F invents hateful punching bags, they all have pictures of characters from a renaissance festival on them. Frank beats the stuffing out of them.

Joel invents a plot specific radio which only picks up plot oriented programming.

Host Segments: Joel makes a Maltshop out of a cardboard basement. Tom and Crow ruin his skit and he points out that when they want to do a skit he's right there for them.

Joel and the bots wonder what happened to the funny drunk characters in movies, they all do their impressions of drunk people. They end the segment with a poignant and thoughtful ending:

Never have we seen a person fail who has thoroughly followed our path
Our stories disclose in a general manner, what happened, what we were like,
and what we are like now… We've got movie sign!!!

Servo has his own show, Servo on Cinema, he is attempting to talk about the blocking techniques in the movie but Crow and Joel keep jumping in and ruin his show.

Conclusion: Joel and the boys form a rock band.

Book: There is a song in this movie which the gang sings in other episodes… They call it “I sing whenever I sing whenever I sing” which is pretty much the lyrics.

Favorite Lines:

::We hear some hissing and see the “Giant Gila Monster”::
Joel (As Gila Monster): That noise wasn't me, that was “Foleying” I'll be back later with another fun fact, Thanks! and enjoy!

Favorite Observations:

::The Sheriff knocks on the door of the missing kid's home, almost instantly the door is opened by the parents::
Tom: They were just waiting by the door?
