     Howard E. Zanzig was born on 2 June 1921 at Milwaukee County, Wisconsin.2,3,4,5 He was the son of Walter Zanzig and Myrtle Brown.1 Howard E. Zanzig appeared on the census of 1930 in the household of Walter Zanzig as a son at Town of Granville, Milwaukee County, Wisconsin.6 Howard E. Zanzig began military service on 7 September 1942 at Milwaukee, Wisconsin.4
     Howard E. Zanzig died on 9 November 2003 at Milwaukee, Wisconsin, at age 82.7,8 Howard E.'s obituary was published in the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel on 12 November 2003 at Milwaukee, Wisconsin.9 His obituary states
"Deceased Name: Zanzig, Howard, E. Zanzig, Howard, E. Age 82 years, November 9, 2003. Husband of the late Marie (nee Pasler). Dear dad of Howard (Colleen), Doreen (Jim) Schroeder and step-dad of Sue (Leo) Nowak. Fond grandpa of James, Scott (Lynn), Steven Schroeder, Dan, Missy Zanzig, Toni Quam and Chris (Joe) Grilli. Fond brother of Hazel Morton. Also survived by great-grandchildren, sisters and brothers-in-law, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. A WW II veteran and retired Teamster. Memorials would be appreciated. Visitation Thursday at the MAX A. SASS & SONS FUNERAL HOME, 11 AM-12 Noon. Private Interment Southern Wisconsin Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Union Grove. MAX A.
