Rulebook Errata

Page 7 [missing information]

Rule 7.351 there should be five exceptions, not four.  Add the following as the first exception:

• Place the GK battlegroup in the Allied Replacement Box after the Axis player plays Balkan Campaign.

Rule 7.352 there should be an additional exception after the last bullet:

• Place the Free French DMA, DMC, and DMO Divisions in any Allied-controlled Mountain space in Algeria or Tunisia after the Allied player plays Corps Franc D’Afrique.

Page 9 [correction]

Renumber rule 9.23 as 9.22, and renumber 9.24 as 9.23.

Page 10 [correction]

Rule 10.43, second line, replaceUnternehmen Irak” with “Iraqi Revolt.”

Page 12 [additions]

Rule 11.42, fifth sentence, add the words “equal to” so that the sentence begins “If the Loss Number is equal to or greater than the Loss Factor …”

Rule 11.442, add the following sentence at the end of the rule:  “SA divisions may only be replaced by SA battlegroups.”

Rule 11.47, add the following between the second and third sentences:

Exception:  when the attacker rolls a potential overrun after a successful flank attack, the defender suffers the result on the Division Fire Table before firing back per 11.341.

Rule 11.471, reword the final sentence to read “If all relocation spaces are fully stacked, or if the only relocation space is the defending space, the units are eliminated instead.  Divisions eliminated for failure to relocate are permanently eliminated and may not be rebuilt using RP during the Replacement Phase.  Battlegroups eliminated in this manner are, however, fully replaceable.”

Page 13 [clarification of combat resolution]

Rule 11.474, clarify as follows:

11.474 If Combat Resolution results in a potential overrun after a successful Flank Attack (11.33), apply the losses to the defender.  Surviving defending units may then fire per rule 11.341 before an overrun is determined and the defender potentially relocated per 11.47 or eliminated per 11.471.

Page 15 [addition]

Rule 12.8, add the following between the second and third exceptions:

EG battlegroups in the Reserve Box may only RD to Alexandria, Cairo, Port Said, or Suez.

Page 16 [minor typo]

Rule 13.62 the last word on the first line should be “Full” not “Fully,” so that it reads “Full Supply” rather than “Fully Supplied”.

Page 17 [addition]

After rule 15.411 add the following:

15.412 The German 5th Mountain Division may only be recreated in Beirut.

Page 17 [missing letter]

Rule 16.4, add a “k” so that “Tobru” reads “Tobruk”.

Page 18, Axis Campaign Game Setup [corrections]

The following is incorrect:

Bardia:              62nd and 63rd Divisions

Sidi Azeiz:         1LIB and 2LIB Divisions, 1 armor battlegroup

The following (printed on the map) is correct:

Bardia:              62nd and 63rd Divisions, 1 armor battlegroup

Sidi Azeiz:         1LIB, 2LIB, and 4BS Divisions

The following is incorrect:

Sidon:               1 VF battlegroup

The following (printed on the map) is correct:

Sidon:               2 VF battlegroups

Page 19, Axis Sonnenblume Setup [corrections]

Players will note that event #30, Commonwealth Reinforcements, is listed as having been played.  The units however are not listed.  The 1st SA Division sets up in Kismayu, the 2 SA Division sets up in South Africa.  There should also be 2 SA battlegroups in the Allied Reserves Box.

There should be a SA battlegroup in Kismayu.  The game begins with two on the map but the scenario mentions only one.

The Axis Reserve Box indicates “2 GE armor battlegroups” but this should be corrected to read “1 GE armor battlegroups” and “1 GE battlegroup.”

In addition, change “1 battlegroup” to “2 battlegroups.”

The 25th “Bologna” Division should set up in Tarhuna.

The Axis Replaceable Box indicates “1 battlegroup” but this should be corrected to read “3 battlegroups.”

The Italian 55th Division is not permanently eliminated.  Axis card #11 hasn’t been played yet so the unit is not currently in the game.

In addition to the British-controlled Free French battlegroup in Chad there should be another British-controlled Free French battlegroup in Jerusalem and another in the Allied Reserves Box.

Page 19, rule 18.2 [deletion]

While the Graziani event has been played per rule 18.1 there isn’t a Graziani marker to be placed on the Turn Record Track.  In rule 18.2 delete “Graziani”.

Page 19, Optional Rules [addition]

Add the following:

19.5 6th Division

If the Crusader event has not been previously played the Allied player may place the British 6th Division, full strength, in Alexandria or Port Said before the first Allied Action Round of the Fall 1941 turn.  If Tobruk is Allied-controlled but unable to trace an overland supply line back to an Allied supply source the 6th Division may replace another Allied Division in Tobruk.  This Division must be a full strength Commonwealth Division if available and must be Australian, if available.  The Division that the 6th Division replaces is picked up and moved, at no cost, to either Alexandria or Port Said (Allied choice).

Page 20, Example of play [correction]

Near the end of the final paragraph it says “With the Overrun result the 27th Infantry Division may advance up to two spaces.”  This isn’t true.  Per rule 11.64 any unit may advance up to its full movement rate if the defender is overrun or if all defending units are eliminated.

Page 32, Suggested Readings [addition]

At the bottom of the right hand column there should be a space between the second Lattimer book and the Liddel-Hart volume.

Page 33, Playtester Credits [addition]

The name Christopher Schwalm ought to be included with the other names.

Page 36, Torch Setup [corrections]

One of the two US battlegroups that sets up in the Tebessa space ought to be a US armor battlegroup.  If you try to setup with the current instructions you will appear to be short one US infantry battlegroup and have an extra armor battlegroup.

An IT armor battlegroup should be placed in the Axis Reserve Box upon play of Torch.  If you play with the current counter mix you will think there is an extra IT armor battlegroup.

The GE armor battlegroup that is listed as setting up in Tunis with the 10th Panzer Division should setup in Mateur.  If you play with the current counter mix you will think there is a shortage of one GE infantry battlegroup.

Card Errata

Allied Card #45, Spitfires:

Add “Effects canceled by Herkules.” in black after the second sentence [clarification].

Add “May not be played after Herkules.” as a restriction, in red, at the bottom of the card. [clarification; consistency with Allied cards #24, 25, 27, 44, and 48].

Axis Card #40, Italian Reinforcements:

Pistoria” should be spelled “Pistoia” [spelling].

“186th ‘Giovani Fascisti’” should be “136th ‘Giovani Fascisti’” [typo].

The counter sheet is correct (there is no IT 186th Division counter).

Player Aid Card Errata

Under “Misc. Combat Modifiers” replace “Attacker Out of Supply” with “Units Out of Supply” and replace “Offensive Fire 1L” with “Fire 1L” [consistency with 13.73].

Also under “Misc. Combat Modifiers” replace “Offensive Fire 2L” with “Offensive Fire 2R” for “Rommel” [typo].
