Galapagos Islands

back to Galapagos Group Show

These photos were taken by Dale and Franja Bryant on their 2004 trip to the Galapagos Islands 600 miles west of the coast of Ecuador.  There are only 44 pictures here, about 10% of those we took.  Duly photographed but not pictured here are the following:  Golden crowned night herons, striated herons, masked boobies, wandering tattlers, whrimbrels, brown noddies, flamingos, golden plovers, semipalmated plovers, Galapagos flycatchers, two species of mockingbirds, a short-eared owl, a ghost crab, bottle nosed dolphins, sea turtles, fur sea lions, great frigate birds, petrels, shearwaters, a smooth-billed ani,, lava lizards, a Galapagos snake, a carpenter bee, and many shots of fellow travelers.   Also missing from this show are many photos of  Quito, Puerto Ayora and our wonderful guide, Julian  Jala.  Not photographed at all (for lack of an underwater camera) are about a bazillion species of spectacular tropical fish of every shape and color.    Many of these shots can be seen in the group show.  The trip was planned and led by Steve Meyerholtz of Seattle, Washington, USA.

It exceeded expectations 21 out of 21 days.  Wow!
